Mission:
To provide support to people with a disability that will enable them to live, work, and participate in our community as equal and valued members.

Who We Are:
"HARC Incorporated is a non profit charitable organization that has been providing services for over thirty years to people with a disability and their families who live in Hanover, Neustadt and area.

What We Do:
A variety of supports focus on successful inclusion of adults who are disabled within their communities. We do this through

·  Residential Services - We have two group homes in Hanover, one of which is wheelchair accessible. In Neustadt we have another group home on the edge of town in a country setting

·  Special Services at Home - "HARC administers SSAH contracts on behalf of individuals with a disability, who live at home with their families.

· Home Support- The Home Support program is a residential option for the individuals with a disability to live with a family other than their own.

·  Living in the Community- The Living in the Community program provides individuals with assistance to live independently in their own residential setting

·  Working in the Community - The Working in the Community program supports people with disabilities to participate as active members of the work force, doing meaningful work in their community.

·  Day Programs - Work Crews offer individuals opportunities to work together in teams and through these efforts take on bigger jobs such as cleaning, grass cutting, raking snow removal, sorting recyclable, shredding paper, stuffing envelopes, assembling, and peeling apples

·  Day Program - Egg Business - Egg production is located at our rural setting in Neustadt
~eggs are cleaned, quality checked, graded, and packaged in our regulation egg grading station in Hanover
~egg sales and deliveries take our product and people out into the community
~egg grading is available to other small producers.

 

• Employment Services

We presently have over sixty people with disabilities working in competitive employment.  As an ODSP Employment Service Provider we conduct pre-employment career exploration, advocacy and on the job shadowing where needed.
